Six-year research periods

The six-year research period unit, through the National Commission for Assessment of Research Activity (CNEAI) carries out the evaluation of the research activity of university lecturers and staff in the scientific scales of the public research bodies of the General State Administration, with the aim of having a productivity bonus (six year research period) recognised.

For the evaluation of permanent doctoral contract teaching staff, the universities that have an agreement in force with ANECA may submit applications for the evaluation of research periods of their doctoral contract teaching staff and interim doctoral contract teaching staff.

Likewise, civil servants in university teaching bodies may request the validation of the positive evaluations of those sections of research activity that had been recognised before they entered the civil service.
