Bachelor and Master Degrees

Once the implementation of the courses corresponding to the official degrees registered in the Register of Universities, Centres and Degrees (RUCT) has begun, ANECA or the assessment bodies determined by the law of the Autonomous Communities must carry out the monitoring of compliance with the project contained in the curriculum verified by the Council of Universities. This is established in article 27 of Royal Decree 1393/2007, which establishes the organisation of official university education.

The monitoring period of an official degree covers the academic year following the registration of the degree in the Register of Universities, Centres and Degrees (RUCT) until the time when the degree must undergo the procedure for the renewal of its accreditation.

Supporting documents and tools

ANECA has developed an accompanying guide for the monitoring process of official bachelor's and master's degrees and also has evaluation protocols for the monitoring and renewal of accreditation, which can be found via the links. Both are available here:

Evaluation reports

The purpose of ANECA is to promote and assure the quality of the Higher Education System in Spain. In order to fulfil this task assigned to the Agency, the official degree evaluation report search engine has been created in the field of official degree evaluation. Through this search engine, ANECA provides all stakeholders, and especially students, with all the information about the official bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees on which ANECA has carried out evaluation reports.

Assessment by commissions

The evaluation commissions are the same as those linked to the VERIFICA programme. These commissions are pluralistic and consist of a chairperson, academic specialists, professionals, students and a person acting as secretary. The proceedings of the committees are collegiate.

ANECA has established a procedure for queries by email: consultas.ensenanzas@aneca.es
