Training to evaluators on the principles of CoARA

On Monday, February 17, the first training experience for evaluators of the Teacher Accreditation program on the principles of CoARA and the reform of research assessment in Spain took place.

The objectives of this training were:

  • To present the CoARA framework and its relevance in the reform of research evaluation in Spain.
  • To expose ANECA's Action Plan in relation to CoARA, including its vision, lines of action and timetable.
  • Explain the impact of the LOSU and the new Royal Decree on research evaluation processes.
  • Provide practical training to the presidencies of the evaluation commissions through an applied exercise.

In this training participated the people who are part of the CoARA working group and the people who chair the faculty evaluation commissions.

Through this training, which included a case study on the new assessment framework and the inclusion of the new criteria proposed in the evaluation reform, ANECA fulfills the commitment made with CoARA and is ahead in the implementation of the principles and programs to which it has adhered with its incorporation to the coalition.

This training, which included a case study on the new evaluation framework, reinforces ANECA's commitment with CoARA and anticipates the application of its principles in the evaluation processes.
