Evaluation committees are groups of experts appointed by ANECA to collegially evaluate applications for the evaluation of teaching staff for recruitment.
There are nine of them: 2 Committees for Experimental Sciences, Health Sciences Committee, Technical Education Committee, 2 Humanities Committees and 3 Committees for Social and Legal Sciences.
Each Committee is made up of a chairperson, a secretary and between 8 and 12 members, depending on the groupings of related areas and the number of applications received. When necessary and due to the number of applications received, each Committee may be split, with the same structure.
The composition of the Evaluation Committees is renewed by 50% every 2 years.
