Seven centers from three universities obtain initial institutional accreditation

The major benefit is the simplification of the degree accreditation process
ANECA has favorably evaluated, with a resolution dated September 18, the applications for initial institutional accreditation of seven centers of three universities.
The main benefit of the Institutional Accreditation of Centers is the simplification of the degree accreditation processes. The process is based on the certification of the Center's Internal Quality Assurance System and how it contributes to the review and improvement process of the degrees dependent on that center.
The new accredited centers are the following:
University of Cantabria
- Faculty of Nursing
- Faculty of Medicine
University Jaume I of Castellón
- Faculty of Human and Social Sciences
- Faculty of Legal and Economic Sciences
- Faculty of Health Sciences
Cardenal Herrera CEU University
- Faculty of Veterinary Science
- School of Technical Education
These centers join those already institutionally accredited by ANECA of the following universities:
- University of Extremadura
- University of Murcia
- University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
- Pontificia Comillas University
- University of Cantabria
- University of Oviedo
- International University of La Rioja
- Public University of Navarra
- European University of the Canary Islands
- University Jaume I of Castellón

The regulatory framework establishes two phases in the institutional accreditation of centers. Initial Institutional Accreditation and Renewal of Institutional Accreditation. Regarding the latter, ANECA is finalizing the reference documents to proceed with the renewal of the accreditation.
