Equivalence for the exclusive purpose of access to higher level Spanish university studies

To access a Master's Degree in Spain, article 18 of Royal Decree 822/2021 establishes the requirement to hold a Spanish Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

To access a Doctorate in Spain, article 6 of Royal Decree 99/2011 establishes the requirement to hold a Spanish Bachelor's and Master's degree or equivalent.

Degrees issued by a country of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) that allows access to Master's or Doctorate studies in that country are considered equivalent.

Spanish universities may declare the equivalence of a degree issued by a country that is not part of the EHEA, for the sole purpose of access to certain Master's or doctoral studies at the Spanish university in question, as long as the degree accredits training equivalent to a Bachelor's or Master's degree and allows access to Master's or doctoral studies in the country that issues it.

Procedure: university chosen by the interested.
