Progress in the Institutional Accreditation of university centers

  • 02/11/2023

ANECA has updated in its web page new documentation in relation to the Institutional Accreditation of university centers regulated by Royal Decrees 640/2021 and 822/2021. These regulations state that Institutional Accreditation has three phases: initial institutional accreditation, monitoring and renewal of such accreditation.

In this regard, the information already available on ANECA's website on initial Institutional Accreditation has been supplemented with documentation referring to the monitoring and renewal phases of Institutional Accreditation.

ANECA has been carrying out the initial Institutional Accreditation since 2018, having reported favorably to 72 centers (information on these centers is available at https://www.aneca.es/informes-de-acreditacion-institucional ).

In 2024 the renewal of such accreditation of a number of centers of four universities (Universidad de Extradura, Universidad de Murcia, Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Universidad Pontificia Comillas) will be addressed.
