Susana Quicios Molina

Professor of Civil Law at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, she is the author of five monographs and numerous book chapters and doctrinal articles on a wide range of subjects. Her research extends from 1993 to 2023, and covers, among other subjects, the law of filiation, personal law (especially the protection of minors), the law of obligations and contracts (both general theory and contracts in particular) and the law of movable guarantees. His teaching has sought to combine rigorous transmission of knowledge with innovation and the development of manuals.

Teamwork has been a constant feature of her academic career, both as a leader and as a collaborator. It is worth highlighting the coordination of several collective works published by the most renowned legal publishers, the direction of legal journals, such as the Anuario de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid or Cuadernos de Derecho Privado, and the participation, as a researcher or PI, in different competitive research projects. She also actively collaborated in the drafting and discussion of the Civil Code Proposal of the Association of Civil Law Professors published in 2018. His work as a member of the Spanish Sports Discipline Committee, between 2008 and 2014, was recognised with the Silver Medal for Sports Merit. 

Her experience in university management is backed up, fundamentally, by the position of Vice-Dean of Academic Organisation (2003-2006), Vice-Dean of Undergraduate Studies (2014-2018) and Secretary of the Department (2006-2007). She has been elected on several occasions as a member of the Board of the Faculty of Law and the Senate of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, has been a member of several internal committees (validations, teaching, research and doctoral studies), and has evaluated research projects and grants for university teaching staff, at the request of various organisations.
