Diego Méndez Ruiz

A member of the State Civil Administrators Corps, he graduated in Law and Political Science and Administration at the Autonomous University of Madrid.

As a civil servant, he has worked in organisations such as Patrimonio Nacional, the Directorate General for the Rationalisation and Centralisation of Procurement (Ministry of Finance and Public Administration) and the Directorate General for Insurance and Pension Funds (Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation). In the different destinations he has developed his experience both in the promotion of public policies and public management, specifically in relation to economic management, public procurement and human resources management, moving from senior technician to head of area and area coordinator.

Some of his main areas of interest in the field of public administration are continuous improvement, efficient management of public resources, administrative culture, change management, people motivation and public integrity. In the latter case, he has collaborated in the preparation of the module "Democracy, Open Government and Good Governance" of the Expert/Diplomate of SKR School of Government and Public Transformation.
