Criteria for research activity evaluation published

The National Commission for Assessment of Research Activity (CNEAI), in order to provide more clarity and transparency to the technical judgment to be formulated by the advisory committees and, where appropriate, by the specialists consulted, publishes every year, within the framework of the call for six-year research periods, the general and specific evaluation criteria for each of the fields, in accordance with the provisions of Article 20 of ANECA's Statute, for each of the fields of evaluation, in a resolution issued in parallel with the call for applications. On December 16, the Official State Gazette (BOE) publishes the Resolution of December 5, 2023, of the CNEAI, by which the criteria for the evaluation of research activity are published.

NECA's management decided to open, for the first time and on a voluntary basis, a public consultation on the draft evaluation criteria. During the period established for this consultation, more than 600 contributions were received from a great diversity of agents of the university and scientific system, which have been studied by ANECA's own management and by its advisory bodies and, where appropriate, integrated in the final document which has been approved by the Plenary of the CNEAI.
