- Dialnet consolidates open governance by integrating key actors in the scientific system and strengthens its role as a leading infrastructure in the Ibero-American sphere
The National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) has formalized its incorporation into the board of trustees of the Dialnet Foundation, a move that reinforces the presence of key institutions of the Spanish scientific system on the entity's governing body. In this way, the Dialnet Foundation strengthens its strategy to consolidate a network of alliances with strategic actors in the Ibero-American university and scientific system.
The incorporation took place at a meeting held at the Dialnet Foundation headquarters in Logroño, with the participation of ANECA's director, Pilar Paneque. In this way, the Dialnet Foundation continues its line of work aimed at expanding and strengthening its board of trustees with entities capable of structuring the science system in Spain and throughout Ibero-America.
The goal is to consolidate a more open governance structure, more closely connected with major academic institutions, and to promote knowledge transfer. The director of ANECA, Pilar Paneque, emphasized that “ANECA’s incorporation into the Dialnet Foundation’s board of trustees reflects a shared vision regarding the importance of having reliable and useful public infrastructures for the university and scientific system. Dialnet plays a significant role in the visibility and traceability of knowledge, and for ANECA, it is important to support a project that has proven its usefulness in evaluating scientific output within the national system and that has great future potential.”
For her part, the president of the Dialnet Foundation, Eva Sanz Arazuri, noted that “ANECA’s entry into the board of trustees represents an important step in the foundation’s institutional evolution. ANECA’s presence strengthens Dialnet’s connection with the science system and with evaluation and quality policies, and helps us continue building a more robust, representative, and useful governance structure for the entire academic ecosystem.” The managing director of the Dialnet Foundation, Elena López Tamayo, stated that “among the main projects approved by the board of trustees for 2026 is the development of a comprehensive curriculum management system.
Therefore, the incorporation of ANECA (National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation) into the Foundation's governing bodies is key to ensuring full alignment between development and the standards of the national evaluation and quality system.” The Dialnet Foundation thus reinforces its position as a hub for cooperation and institutional dialogue, consolidating itself as a strategic infrastructure for the scientific system. In addition to the University of La Rioja, organizations and institutions such as the Government of La Rioja, the Cervantes Institute, REBIUN (Spanish Network of Biodiversity Libraries), and the recently incorporated CRUE (Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities) and ANECA actively participate in this ecosystem, demonstrating a sustained commitment to the development, dissemination, and transfer of knowledge.
CRUE Joins the Board of Trustees of the Dialnet Foundation
The addition of ANECA (National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation) follows the entry of the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE), approved at the board meeting held last February. At that meeting, CRUE accepted its membership in the foundation and appointed José Capilla Roma, president of CRUE Digitalization, as its representative.
The inclusion of CRUE and ANECA on the board of trustees aligns with the process of institutional growth and openness to organizations that play a structural role in the science system. The Dialnet Foundation thus strengthens its position as a hub for cooperation among universities, evaluation bodies, and knowledge stakeholders in its role as a strategic science infrastructure.
