Mercedes Siles Molina, director of ANECA, gave the inaugural lecture at the opening of the academic year of the UNED of Asturias, on 9 December 2022, with a conference on 'The challenges of quality for a new era' in which, among other issues, she referred to the activity being developed by the Agency in her three years as director, She focused on quality as a transversal axis of "accompanying people and institutions to achieve their objectives", the "modernisation of all processes and streamlining of procedures", "transparency in the criteria used in evaluations and accreditations", "rigour in their application and accountability", and the "transparency in the criteria used in evaluations and accreditations"; rigour in their application and accountability", the "promotion of a communicative policy of social, national and international projection" and the "introduction of criteria of equality, social inclusion and academic integrity in evaluations and accreditations, in all the Agency's activity".
