Call for submissions 2023
CNEAI evaluations are carried out in accordance with the applicable regulations published annually in the BOE. The call for 2023 is set out in the Resolution of 19 December 2023, of the General Secretariat for Universities, which approves the call for the evaluation of research activity (BOE of 22 December 2023).
Evaluation advisory committees and specialists
- Structure: the appointment of advisory and specialist committees will have a duration of one year, which may be renewed for another year, except in the case of chairs, whose renewal may be for two years.
- Criteria and procedure for selection and renewal: To be a member of these committees it is necessary to hold a university chair or to have the status of Research Professor, with 3 or more six-year research periods.

- Resolution of 19 March 2024, of the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation, which modifies the members of the Advisory Committees of the National Research Activity Evaluation Commission and appoints experts.
- Resolution of 21 October 2024, of the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation, which publishes the list of specialists to advise the academic members of the National Commission for the Evaluation of Research Activity (BOE).
Criteria and scales
The evaluation applies the general criteria established in article 7 of the Order of 2 December 1994 and in section three of Order CNU/1181/2019, of 3 December. These general criteria are complemented by the specific criteria approved for each of the fields of evaluation by resolution of the CNEAI of 5 December 2023. ANECA also publishes the guidelines for the application of the evaluation criteria in applications for the current call for six-year research fellowships.
