Second meeting of the ANECA board of directors with groups of people affected by the process of homologation of foreign qualifications

On the afternoon of November 21, the second meeting was held with organized groups of people affected by the process of homologation of foreign degrees, to share experiences and concerns regarding the development of the procedure and the processing of the files.

The meeting, in which the director of ANECA and the director of the Evaluation of Teachings and Institutions division of ANECA participated, was attended by representatives and spokespersons of the groups: Fair Homologation Now, Movement of Migrant Psychologists, Migrant Nurses, the Association of Argentine Health Professionals in Spain (APSAE), Psicovesp, ASONDONVES, the Federation of Ibero-American Medical Associations (FEAMIB), the Association of Venezuelan Doctors in Spain (AMEVESP), the Association of Cuban Doctors in Spain, Homologants to the profession of occupational therapist and the Collective of Peruvian Psychologists in Spain.


 

During this meeting, the second convened by the ANECA management, the organized groups expressed their concerns regarding the current situation of the files that affect them and conveyed to the ANECA management their worries and experiences regarding the procedure.

For its part, the ANECA management presented the progress made in the last six months, which include the publication of the evaluation criteria for two other professions (nursing and dentistry, which are added to psychology and, soon, to others), as well as a set of general measures that the Agency has been publishing to speed up the processing of homologation and equivalence files, which were also approved in the last session of the Technical Analysis Commission of Homologations and Declarations of Equivalence of the MICIU (CATHYDE). In addition, the commitment to dialogue and collaboration was reaffirmed to continue advancing in this matter using all available instruments to speed up the procedure.


 

In this regard, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue through meetings with specific groups, in addition to holding these follow-up meetings every six months.
