Action Plan 2024-2027 within the framework of ANECA's COARA

On April 3, 2023, ANECA, a participant in the debates that have been developing in the European and global context on the need to reform research assessment models, joined the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA). As part of the commitment acquired with this adhesion is the development of a four-year institutional action plan that in turn responds to the commitments established in the Agreement on the reform of research assessment (ARRA), signed by ANECA on that same date.

In July 2024, in compliance with the commitments made by joining CoARA, the ANECA management presented the 2024-2027 Action Plan to its Governing Council, which includes the details of the actions and activities that the Agency undertakes to implement in this period to move towards a new culture of evaluation of research activity in all its diversity.

This plan has been developed taking into account the recommendations of the document Support for CoARA signatories in the preparation of action plans and after a consultation process with the members of the Evaluation and Monitoring Commission of the state accreditation system, the management team, the Internationalization and Studies Unit and the ANECA units in charge of the evaluation of university teaching staff and research staff.
