Results Report 2023 of the Accreditation Programme for Access to University Teaching Bodies (ACADEMIA)

From 1 January to 31 December 2023 ANECA has assessed 4,595 applications in the first evaluation of the Accreditation Programme for access to university teaching bodies (ACADEMIA). Of these, 739 applications were withdrawn at the negative evaluation proposal stage. The total number of applications that completed the evaluation process was 3,856. 

Of the 3,856 applications evaluated, 1,291 were applications for accreditation for access to the body of University Professors. Of these, 1,120 obtained positive accreditation (87%). 2,565 applications were assessed for access to the body of tenured university professors, of which 2,385 obtained positive accreditation (93%).

ANECA received 6,730 applications for Full Professors and Tenured University Lecturers in 2023, almost 50% more than in 2022.
