The average time taken to resolve applications for teacher evaluation for hiring falls to 3 months
During the second quarter of 2024, ANECA's Teacher Evaluation Program (PEP) issued evaluation reports for 1,782 applications for Associate Professor (PCD) y 1,549 for Private University Professor (PUP). The number of evaluation applications has increased by 1,838 applications with respect to the first quarter of the year.
The call for accreditation of contracted doctoral and private university teaching staff (PEP Program) depends on the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, in accordance with the applicable regulations (Royal Decree 1052/2002, of October 11). The accreditation criteria published by ANECA will be maintained until an indication is received from the Ministry for their adaptation in accordance with the transitional regime established by the LOSU.
Likewise, the average resolution period has been reduced by 3 months from the 3.3 months of the first quarter. In the case of both PCD and PUP, 70% of the resolutions were positive.
