Hélice ANECA 2022 Awards for Academic Quality

The ANECA Hélice Awards for Academic Quality were presented today at the Agency's headquarters, in a ceremony presided over by José Manuel Pingarrón Carrazón, Secretary General for Universities, and Mercedes Siles Molina, Director of ANECA, and presented by the journalist Iñaki Gabilondo.

The awards went to:

• Teaching and Research Staff Category: 
  • Leticia San Martín Rodríguez, university lecturer at the Public University of Navarra.
  • Fernando Tomás Maestre Gil, professor at the University of Alicante.
• Student Category: 
  • María Bañón Goiriz, student at the University of La Coruña.
  • Marwane Bourqqia Ramz, student at the Complutense University of Madrid.
• PTGAS Category
  • Mª Eugenia Pérez Navas, University of Málaga.
  • Gregorio Sesma Fernández, University of La Rioja.

ANECA Helix Award for Academic Quality
The winning candidatures have been selected from among the almost 60 submitted in what is the 2nd Edition of the Award, which is a recognition of the commitment to the values of Academic Quality, with which the commitment of the teaching staff, the student body and the technical, management and administration and services staff to the principles of ethics and public responsibility, equity, academic integrity, equality, inclusion and transparency is highlighted and thanked. The two modalities, student body and PTGAS, have been added this year as a novelty in the call opened by the Agency. In each category, one woman and one man have been highlighted, and the candidatures have been submitted by the universities. 

The ANECA Award for Commitment to Evaluation was also presented to Fuensanta Hernández Pina, honorary emeritus professor at the University of Murcia.
