53% of the staff of ANECA committees are women

On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Agency gives an overview of the presence of women in the Agency and the new measures implemented in the last year.

Equality Plan

ANECA has drawn up, negotiated and registered its Equality Plan in accordance with Royal Decree-Law 6/2019, of 1 March, on urgent measures to guarantee equal treatment and opportunities between women and men in employment and occupation. The actions included in ANECA's Equality Plan have been determined according to the priorities detected in the diagnosis carried out. In order to achieve the objectives set, the equality plan includes measures regarding access to employment, professional classification, promotion and training, remuneration, organisation of working time to favour, in terms of equality between women and men, co-responsible conciliation, and prevention of sexual harassment and harassment on grounds of sex. 

The overall participation rate of women and men in ANECA's staff is 67.5% and 32.5% respectively.

As for the collaborators participating in the different committees and commissions of the Agency's programmes, the percentage of women is 53%; while in the case of the presidencies of these, the figure rises to 64% in accreditations and six-year periods, and 57% in teaching and institutions.
