Upcoming opening of the application period for Research Six-Year Periods for teaching staff

In the 2025 Research Six-Year Period call for applications, the application period for teaching staff at public or private universities will be open from February 9 to March 2, 2026.

As already announced in this news item, applicants must comply with the call for applications for research sabbaticals issued by each university, as this evaluation is carried out by agreement.

It should be noted that teaching staff interested in applying for a sabbatical this year must have the authorization of their university, in the form sent by ANECA to the universities; This authorization is essential for the application to be evaluated using the same criteria that govern the call for civil servants (closed on January 30), approved by the Plenary Session of the National Commission for the Evaluation of Research Activity (CNEAI) at its meeting held on December 9, 2025.

This authorization must be obtained prior to the closing date for the call for applications for six-year periods for contract staff (March 2, 2026), and must be attached to the ANECA six-year period electronic headquarters together with the application for the six-year period and other mandatory documentation.
