ANECA and the university quality agencies organize a national conference on good practices in the evaluation of teaching

  • 25/02/2026

The National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) and the other regional agencies for the evaluation of university quality will organize on February 25 a day of dissemination of good practices in the evaluation of teaching quality.

The aim of this conference, to which universities and agents of the Spanish university system have been invited, is to bring higher education institutions closer to the latest developments of the DOCENTIA program, the tool designed by ANECA in 2007 and recently updated in close collaboration with the regional evaluation agencies, to evaluate the teaching quality of university academic staff.

Since its creation, this program has provided numerous Spanish universities with a platform for the evaluation and monitoring of the quality of university teaching staff teaching. Its growth and implementation in more and more universities is proof of its success, the result of the collaborative effort between quality agencies and universities.

ANECA and several quality agencies involved in the program have convened universities to share examples of positive experiences implemented and disseminate updates of the model, which underwent a review in February 2025 after a broad participatory process involving universities, faculty and students.

The conference will take place at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and will be attended by universities and agencies from all over Spain.
