ANECA has published a resolution in which the criteria recently established for the evaluation of foreign degrees with a view to their homologation to the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology are particularized to the case of Argentine degrees in Psychology. This resolution is based on months of technical work and several reports elaborated by independent specialists (people linked to ANECA's program of verification of official degrees). These reports have analyzed the official regulations affecting these degrees in both countries, in order to compare both regulations and infer the common characteristics and differences, reaching the conclusion that there is a remarkable level of overlap.
The philosophy underlying this case, and which will be applied to others, is to move from an evaluation completely focused on individual dossiers to another, based on general measures, more rational and aligned with the practices of the countries around us and with the provisions of the Lisbon Convention.
This philosophy revolves around comparing degrees based on the national regulations that regulate them and on the professional competencies to which they give access, in addition to the academic content, in order to analyze degrees or sets of degrees to determine their comparability with those degrees verified in the Spanish university system. In short, it is a matter of transferring to foreign degrees whose homologation is requested the same verification criteria established by current regulations for degrees offered by Spanish universities that give access to regulated professions.
