ANECA renews collaboration agreement with the General Council of Official Medical Associations and the National Conference of Deans of Spanish Medical Schools for the evaluation and quality assurance of education in the field of medicine

On September 10, at the headquarters of the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA), the continuation of the Agreement between ANECA, the CNDFME, and the CGCOM was signed, whereby the three institutions commit to joint collaboration in the field of evaluation, accreditation, and quality assurance of medical education, in order to take advantage of developments in the academic and professional spheres at the European and Ibero-American levels. 

The aim of this agreement is to facilitate the proposal and selection of national and European evaluators and/or experts in the field of medicine to participate in ANECA's evaluation and visitation committees and panels.

By signing this document, the three parties undertake to contribute to the internationalization of higher education in the field of medicine through the exchange of information and good practices within their respective areas of competence, with the aim of taking advantage of new dynamics in the academic and professional spheres and collaborating in the development of European processes for the dissemination, assurance, evaluation, and recognition of quality.

Through this agreement, a Joint Working Committee is established to carry out the functions derived from it, so that there is constant feedback in the quest to ensure that quality assurance has a positive impact on the university system and society.
