During December 2025, 938 accreditation applications submitted after April 1, 2024, were evaluated in accordance with the new procedure regulated by Royal Decree 678/2023.
December also marks a positive end to the year in terms of improving average processing times, which have been decreasing since June (10.2 months). This month, the average processing time was 3.8 months. Based on the above data, it can be stated that ANECA is making significant progress toward the goal of eliminating waiting times of more than six months in any commission: this has already been achieved in 21 commissions.
In December, the average success rate for tenured faculty was 81% (85% of women and 78% of men achieved accreditation), while the average success rate for full professorship accreditation increased to 64% for both women and men.
Publishing this data reflects the effective work of the committees and further advances transparency in ANECA's activities.
The number of applications evaluated (938) is as follows:
- Positive and negative resolutions (resolved applications).
- Procedural agreements (requests for supplementary information, proposals for negative resolutions, and proposals for inadmissibility due to non-compliance with the mobility requirement in accreditations for Full Professors (PTU), or with the research excellence requirement in accreditations for University Professors (CU) requested by individuals accredited as Full Professors (PTU/PPL).
