Information note on the Accreditation Commission D17

On 14 June 2023, the director of ANECA resolved the separation of three members of the accreditation committee D17. Educational Sciences of the ACADEMIA programme (president, secretary and member).

This resolution is signed after the investigation of the proceedings initiated on 24 May, which has been processed in accordance with the provisions of Article 8.3 of Royal Decree 1312/2007 of 5 October, which establishes the national accreditation for access to university teaching bodies, as amended by Royal Decree 415/2015 of 29 May, and in accordance with the procedure for the removal of evaluators from ANECA's evaluation commissions and committees, approved on 18 January 2021.

The resolution is based on the non-compliance with the commitments and obligations of the Code of Ethics to which all members of ANECA's accreditation committees are bound, approved by Resolution of the Governing Council of 27 May 2021 (BOE 11 June 2021).

Consequently, procedures have been initiated to renew the composition of the D17 Commission, to appoint new chairwoman and secretary, and to provide precise instructions to improve the evaluation procedures and resolution times of Educational Sciences.
