New state accreditation commissions for access to university teaching bodies

  • 30/01/2024

The 30 accreditation commissions provided for in Article 6 of Royal Decree 678/2023 of 18 July, which regulates state accreditation, have been published on the ANECA website, following their constitution on 29 December 2023.

For the composition of the commissions, the Procedure for the selection, renewal and appointment of the accreditation commissions of the ACADEMIA Procedure has been followed.

This procedure is the result of the application of the criteria and the process set out in the aforementioned Royal Decree 678/2023.

These commissions, determined on the basis of material affinities and the monthly average number of applications, replace those appointed in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 1312/2007, of 5 October.

Likewise, the accreditation committees have a mixed composition, with members selected by ANECA (50 per cent) and with members proposed from a public draw carried out by the Agency among the active staff of the teaching bodies (the other 50 per cent). The number of full members of the commissions will vary according to the diversity of specialities of knowledge assigned to each commission and the foreseeable number of applications, but will not be less than 7 or more than 21.
