Between April and June 2026, ANECA’s Faculty Evaluation Program (PEP) issued evaluation reports for 976 applications for Contracted Faculty with a Doctorate (PCD) and 832 for Private University Faculty (PUP), confirming that the upward trend in the pace of evaluations observed in the previous quarter continues.

Regarding processing times, the average turnaround period remains at approximately three months, in line with the commitment made by ANECA’s management. The percentage of positive decisions is 67% for PCD applications and 66% for PUP applications, with the figures for women being slightly higher than those for men in both cases.

It should be noted that the call for accreditation of tenured faculty with a doctorate and private university faculty (PEP Program) falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities, in accordance with applicable regulations (Royal Decree 1052/2002, of October 11). The accreditation criteria published by ANECA will remain in effect until the Ministry issues instructions to adapt them in accordance with the transitional regime established by Organic Law 2/2023, of March 22, on the University System.

The data, broken down by position, committee, and gender, are presented in the following tables:
