Nueva guía del Programa de Apoyo a la Evaluación de la Actividad Docente del Profesorado Universitario (DOCENTIA)

New guide to the Support Program for the Evaluation of the Teaching Activity of University Professors (DOCENTIA)

  • 04/02/2025

The process of reviewing and improving the Support Program for the Evaluation of the Teaching Activity of University Professors (DOCENTIA), undertaken during 2024 by ANECA, has crystallized in a new "Support Guide for the DOCENTIA 2025 program", and its corresponding annexes, which has been published on the ANECA website: https://www.aneca.es/docentia

The main new features of this document consist of:

  1. Establishing a double path for defining, implementing and evaluating the teaching activity of professors. Universities can move from one approach to another in any of the phases.
  2. The integration of the evaluation of excellence, in each of the two defined paths, and its link with the accreditation criteria for university professors established by ANECA.
  3. The simplification and clarification of the evaluation conditions for the different evaluation phases.
  4. The incorporation of qualitative elements in the two routes for the design, implementation and certification of the evaluation models for the teaching activity of the teaching staff.

This update has been the result of a collective process that has involved different interested parties such as universities and quality agencies. Now, teachers and students have also been invited to participate in this process (https://participa.aneca.es/docentia) in order, on the one hand, to learn about their opinions and proposals on the programme; and, on the other, to gather their specific expectations and needs.

The information obtained will help us to make the most appropriate revisions, updates and adjustments, as well as to guide decision-making on the programme.
