ANECA Expands Its Six-Year Research Cycle Dashboard with the Complete Results of the 2025 Call for Applications

ANECA has published a new version of the dashboard for the 2025 Call for Applications for the Six-Year Research Cycle, now incorporating the complete results of the evaluation for both civil servants and contract faculty. The tool allows users to interactively view information regarding submitted applications, the evaluation stages, and the results obtained, reinforcing the Agency’s commitment to transparency and access to information.

This initiative builds on the work carried out by ANECA in recent months to facilitate public monitoring of its evaluation programs. Following the launch of the dashboard for the ACADEMIA state accreditation program and the publication last April of an initial scorecard with participation data for the 2025 Six-Year Research Period Call, the tool now incorporates the final results of the evaluation process.

The 2025 Six-Year Research Period Call was the largest in volume managed to date. ANECA received a total of 15,637 applications, from both civil servants and contract faculty. Of these, 8,569 were submitted during the regular call for civil servants—including applications for recognition of prior learning—and more than 7,000 were from contract faculty evaluated through agreements with universities.

The results of the evaluation process reflect a high rate of favorable evaluations. In the case of civil servants, 97.60% of the groups evaluated received a positive decision, with very similar results among women and men. In addition, 1,874 requests for recognition of six-year service periods previously earned as contract employees were approved.

Meanwhile, the evaluation of contract faculty concluded with a success rate of 93.84%. The figures also show high participation and very balanced results by gender, with favorable evaluation rates of 94.15% for women and 93.61% for men.

The new dashboard allows users to view this information using various filters and levels of detail. Among other features, it provides data by scientific field, gender, autonomous community, university, and institution, offering a comprehensive overview of the call for applications and enabling an analysis of the distribution of applications and results across the different evaluation areas.

With this tool, ANECA continues to make progress on one of the lines of work outlined in its 2025–2030 Strategic Plan: strengthening the transparency of evaluation processes and improving access to public information about its programs. The publication of open and up-to-date data is also one of the actions aligned with the Agency’s commitments regarding responsible evaluation and accountability.
