1,675 applications for tenure-track professors evaluated in the last quarter of 2025

During the fourth quarter of 2025, ANECA's Teaching Staff Evaluation Program (PEP) issued evaluation reports on 897 applications for tenure-track professors (PCD) and 778 for private university professors (PUP), a significant increase over the previous period.

The call for the accreditation of PhD contract professors and private university professors (PEP Program) depends on the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, in accordance with the applicable regulations (Royal Decree 1052/2002, of October 11). The accreditation criteria published by ANECA will be maintained until an indication is received from the Ministry for their adaptation in accordance with the transitional regime established by the LOSU.

On the other hand, an average resolution period of approximately three months has been maintained, following the commitment assumed by ANECA's management. Furthermore, in the case of both PCD and PUP, the percentage of positive resolutions is around 70%.
