The Advisory Board is an advisory body dependent on the Director of ANECA for its structure and composition, but independent of the Agency in its functions and decision-making, in accordance with the draft given in article 18 of the Statutes of the Agency.
This Advisory Board shall be made up of 18 members, of national and foreing nationality, all of them well-known figures belonging to the academic, professional or business world, amongst them: a Chairman, five academics representing each one a different field (Social Sciences and Law, Humanities, Health Sciences, Experimental Schiences and Technical programmes), who play a coordination role for each area of knowledge, four academics and/or Spanish professionals and eight members of the European or Latin American Higher Education System.
It is incumbent on this Board to:
- Inform on the procedures and actions carried out by the Agency.
- Inform on the Agency’s compliance of rules and codes of good practice followed in the international structures and networks that the Agency forms part of.
- Advise the Agency’s Director on all required matters.
