Introduction

The Graduate Employment Observatory of ANECA seeks in particular to achieve the following aims:

  • To provide information about graduate placement in the job market.
  • To obtain information from graduate students and employers about the adequacy of the graduation profiles with the demands of the productive sector.
  • To provide tools and reference data which enable universities to make comparison at the national and international level.
  • To collaborate with universities in designing the aforesaid tools.

Therefore, two specific actions have been implemented in 2005: the ‘REFLEX’ Graduate Survey and an analysis of the situtation of graduate students concerning their employment placement from the information provided by the database of employment units of the Spanish universities.

Besides, the Graduate Employment Observatory web page has been co-designed and set up by the Quality Assurance Agency for the University System in Castilla y León, the Quality Assurance Agency for the University System in Catalonia, the Quality Assurance Agency for the University System in Galicia, the Prospect Center of Andalusia and the Center for Studies in Higher Education Management.
