Law EDU/3429/2010, December 28th, changed the last procedure to obtain a Quality Label. This label shows the recognition of the scientific and training reliability of the doctoral studies of the Spanish universities.
The Doctoral programmes which obtain the Quality Label towards Excelence is availabled in a public list where is recognized as adecuated Degrees by its learning outcomes and other kind of results.
This law had a prior reference in The Ministry of Education and Science’s Order ECI/229/2006, of 20 January , whereby announcement is made of the award of the Quality Label (Mención de Calidad) recognition for doctoral studies at Spanish universities for the 2006-2007 academic year.
With this last call (now closed), it has included some improvements about the previous call. They are the following:
- Easier procedure to participate.
- Less information to send (now, it is so important to research period).
- Less period of validity of the quality award.
- It adds more time to ask information about the programme.
ANECA maintains the constitution way of the committees (to assess and to send the report), and how is selected the panels, according with the Standards and Guidelines of ENQA and Practice Code of European Consortium for Acreditation (ECA).
