Collaboration with Murcia

The National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) and the Department of Business, Employment, Universities and Spokesperson for the Region of Murcia have signed a collaboration agreement aiming to improve the quality of Spanish university education.

The agreement, already signed by both institutions, establishes that ANECA will provide advice and support in the monitoring and accreditation of official university degrees and their implementation, modification and cancellation processes, as well as in any other issues related to the quality of university education in the Region of Murcia.
The Regional Ministry will receive technical support from ANECA and, when required, the Agency will set up panels of external experts, to whom the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia may employ technical personnel and qualified professionals from companies, professional associations or the administration itself, to carry out the actions planned.
The agreement, recently approved by the Governing Council, was previously authorised by the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration and constituted the collaboration framework between the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia and ANECA as the Quality Agency. ANECA is in charge of quality assurance, monitoring and accreditation of degrees in universities across the Region of Murcia.
The National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation has a primary purpose of contributing and guaranteeing the quality of Spanish Universities and their integration into the European Higher Education Area, complying with European quality criteria through evaluation reports, certification and accreditation.
