ANECA has launched the “Support Guide for drafting, implementing and evaluating learning outcomes”.  This document pretends to provide guidance to universities, assessment committees, educational authorities and other stakeholders about the process of design, implementation and programme degree revision.

Learning outcomes are statements of what is expected that the student will know, understand and/or be able to do after completion of a process of learning. They provide better information to teachers, students and employers to the extent that students know exactly what is expected of them, and employers can know what graduates know and are able to do when starting a new job.

For the University, they are a very useful tool for planning and organizing learning as they clearly state the expected results of the teaching processes. Learning outcomes provide greater clarity and transparency for higher education systems and qualifications.

At domestic level, from the point of view of the Spanish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education, the use of learning outcomes makes it possible to align qualifications with the requirements of a good university education.

The “Support Guide for drafting, implementing and evaluating learning outcomes” provides support, not in a mandatory manner, in the task of defining, implement and evaluate learning outcomes in learning activities and evaluation methods.
