No conflict of interest

The agency ensures experts’ independence by implementing a no conflict of interest mechanism.

Each member of the panel is required to provide a statement ( Code of Ethics ) to the effect that they have no conflict of interest with the Higher Education Institution at which one or several programmes are being accredited. This statement should be received prior to the distribution of any documentation. Moreover, having notified the composition of the panel to the university, the latter may reject any of its members if it deems there is a conflict of interests. The rejection of a panel member must be reasoned, and will be analysed by ANECA who will decide whether to accept or refuse the request.
