Misión y funciones

ANECA’s mission is to provide external quality assurance for the Higher Education System and to contribute to its constant improvement.


To independently promote the quality assurance of the Higher Education System in Spain and its continuous and innovative improvement through guidance, evaluation, certification and accreditation processes, thus contributing to the consolidation of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). This activity is complemented by ANECA’S commitment to society by providing information and thus earning the confidence of our stakeholders.


To be recognised nationally and internationally as a benchmark of good practices in the field of quality assurance for Higher Education Systems, fulfilling its mission according to defined values; all with a clear service focus for the society in general.
